Digital Preservation Member Workshop

Struggling with how to best manage the digital objects you have at your institution? Learn how to get started with a tailored approach for Chicago Collections member organizations large and small. In this workshop, we will discuss how to:

Identify . . . the types of digital content you have.
Select . . . what portion of your digital content will be preserved.
Store . . . your selected content for the long term.
Protect . . . your content from everyday threats and emergency contingencies.
Manage . . . and implement requirements for long term management.
Provide . . . access to digital content over time.

The workshop will be led by Chicago Collections Portal Manager Kate Flynn and her partners from Illinois Institute of Technology, Adam Strohm and Paul Go, all of whom are certified to teach this course by the Library of Congress Digital Preservation and Outreach Program (DPOE).
