CCC Welcomes Two New Members
CCC welcomed two new members this month-- Lake Forest College and the Theatre Historical Society of America (THS).
Did you know that at Lake Forest College's Donnelley and Lee Library you can find the Edward Bennett Papers, which includes Plan of Chicago correspondence between Daniel Burnham and Edward Bennett? Or the Joseph Medill Patterson Papers that document Patterson's career as co-publisher and publisher of the Chicago Tribune and the New York Daily News? From the likes of these collections to others including Chicago theatre programs, photographs, and railroad history, learn more about Lake Forest College's holdings here.
Then, founded in 1969 to document the architectural, cultural, and social history of America's theatres, THS is located in Elmhurst, IL, and houses the American Theatre Architecture Archive that containsover 100,000 items documenting over 18,000 theatres across America from the 1880s to present day.
