Chicago Collections Launches First Digital Exhibit
Sports of all kinds have played an essential role in Chicago's history. From football to cycling, and baseball to bowling, Chicago Collections member institutions hold a diverse collection of images and media that provide a snapshot into Chicago's professional and recreational sporting arenas.
As a way of sharing these collections, Chicago Collections has embarked upon a new phase of digital curation with the launch of its first digital exhibit titled The Sporting Life: Stories from Chicago Collections Archives.
Launched on October 17, 2017, The Sporting Life: Stories from Chicago Collections Archives is the first of several planned digital exhibits, including a forthcoming exhibit on Chicago protests.
This online exhibit was made possible by contributing member institutions and the work of our Digital Exhibit Task Force, including Kate Flynn, Gretchen Neidhardt, and Rachel Shaevel, Chris Day, Matt Krc, Greer Martin, Dominic Rossetti, and Stacy Stoldt.
