Photos from the Inaugural Exhibition Opening

A Beautiful Unveiling and Celebration

On August 6, 2015, Chicago Public Library and Chicago Collections hosted the opening of its inaugural exhibition Raw Material: Uncovering Chicago's Historical Collections featuring objects from over 20 institutions that bring Chicago's history to life. It was a lively evening beginning with a celebration in the Special Collections Reading Room, then a ribbon cutting, followed by a community celebration in the Winter Garden at the Harold Washington Library Center. Here are photos of the festivities, courtesy of Joseph Aaron Campbell, and be sure to visit the exhibition open though November 15, 2015.
