CCC is proud to host its next installment of Conversations with Chicago Collections, a virtual discussion that provides a quick look at a CCC member's collection. Join Cheryl McIntyre, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Paul and Jean Harris Home Foundation as she shares the inspiring story of Rotary International and how it started with the vision of one man — Paul Harris. Learn how Harris, a Chicago attorney, formed the Rotary Club of Chicago in 1905 at his home located in the Beverly/Morgan Park area of Chicago.  Cheryl will share with you the rich history of how a group of Chicago business people and professionals with diverse backgrounds created the First Service Club, which led to many meaningful, lifelong friendships around the globe. The vision of Paul Harris designed what we know today as Rotary International, the world's first service organization. Its national and international humanitarian impact continues to be felt in many countries today. The restored home is now the location of the Paul and Jean Harris Home Foundation and is open for tours by reservation only on the website. Visit paulharrishome.org to plan your visit and make a reservation.
